Metro Advantage is a flexible benefit for both employers and employees. Through the Metro Advantage Program, employers are able to offer their employees the benefit of purchasing Metro Passes utilizing pre-tax dollars.
The NFTA’s Metro Advantage Program means tax savings to employers that quickly add up. For example, for every $1,000 deducted from taxable payroll, an employer saves approximately $76.50 since they do not pay FICA and other taxes on the pre-tax deduction for each participant. The savings to employees is approximately 30 percent.
