Metro's Niagara Falls Trolley

Metro's seasonal trolley service – the RED line – runs along Niagara Falls Blvd., Pine Ave., to the Niagara Falls International Airport, and downtown Niagara Falls USA.


When does Metro’s trolley service run?
The service runs from 9 a.m. - 12 a.m. as follows:
May 19 - 21 Friday - Sunday
May 26 - Oct. 8 Daily
Oct. 13 - Oct. 29 Friday - Sunday

Where do I pick up a Metro trolley?
All trolley stops are indicated by a red, white and blue sign like these:

Trolleys will pick up and drop off passengers at all numbered stops shown on the map and according to the schedule.

Is the Trolley free?
The Trolley is free with a Trolley Day Pass, available at the front desk of participating hotels. If you don’t have a pass, the Trolley is only $2 cash (exact change). Disabled, seniors and children ages 5-11 ride for $1. Children 4 and under ride free.

Note: Hospitality personnel are NOT eligible to use Trolley Day Passes for any Metro services. Operators cannot accept trolley passes that have been tampered with in any manner.

Can I use my pass all day?
Yes, your 2017 Trolley Day Pass must be validated upon boarding by an operator with a punch and then you are able to use it all day. The pass must be validated in Niagara County, but can be used on all other Metro services. Please note a Trolley Day Pass must remain in a rider’s possession at all times when using Metro services.

How many Metro trolleys are in service?
There are nine trolleys within the Metro system, and they all contain the NFTA Metro logo under the front window of the vehicle. On occasion a regular Metro bus may be substituted for a trolley bus, so check the destination sign on the front or street side to be sure.
