On select Saturdays, NFTA-Metro is sending out the Parks Adventure Bus to parks around the region.

Plan your fun, fare-free adventures to beautiful park destinations this summer and fall!

If an adventure is severely impacted due to weather, August 22 is reserved for make-up trips.

Free - The Adventure Bus and park entry is free to riders.

Arrive 10 minutes early to board buses downtown and at all parks.

Park rangers are on park grounds to assist you.

Follow all posted rules or signage for your safety.

Bicycle racks are on the front of every Metro bus, but only hold two bikes. It is first come, first served. Additional bikes will not be permitted on the bus. Bike parking and a Reddy Bike Share Station are available at the downtown bus station.

Subscribe to Metro Alerts to receive updates about the Parks Adventure Bus. You will be notified via Alerts if an adventure is severely impacted due to weather.

  • Wear comfortable closed-toe athletic shoes or boots
  • Bring a full water bottle, fully charged cell phone, and a backpack with a lunch or snacks
  • Wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat; bring a light jacket
  • Swimsuits and towels for the pool or beach
  • Proper disposal of trash and recycling is required
  • All parks have available bathrooms.
  • Pets are not allowed on NFTA-Metro vehicles or facilities; Service animals are always welcome
  • In case of emergency, call 911 and seek help from park rangers
 

Paratransit clients: Service to each park will be provided on PAL for eligible riders to reserve trips during the summer and fall dates.

PAL Summer Schedule: Vehicles will arrive at the park at 1:00 PM. Vehicles will depart from the park at 4:00 PM.
PAL Fall Schedule: Vehicles will arrive at the park at 10:00 AM. Vehicles will depart from the park at 2:00 PM.

If you will need assistance upon arriving at the park, please call the park ahead of the trip date for more information.

Parks Every Day: You don’t have to wait until summer to go on an adventure! Take a look at the parks accessible all year by regular Metro routes.
