Airport Service

NFTA-Metro offers several different bus options between downtown Buffalo and the Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

There are two versions of the 24 – Genesee bus that go between downtown Buffalo and Buffalo Niagara International Airport via Genesee Street. Click here for the schedule for both versions of the 24 – Genesee.

24L Limited Stops

Faster Service, Fewer Stops

  • Faster trips between downtown Buffalo and the Buffalo Niagara International Airport
  • Weekday service only
  • Only stops at designated Limited Stop bus stops
  • Convenient for people going all the way downtown, or looking to transfer between the 24 and another bus
  • Improved service to and from the airport in the evening
  • No additional charge
  • Look for green Limited Stop signs

The 24L will ONLY stop at these stops:

  • Buffalo Niagara International Airport
  • 4219/4220 Genesee Street
  • Cayuga Road / Dick Road
  • Union Road (Transfer to 32 Amherst)
  • Ellwood Place / Toelsin Road
  • Harlem Road (Transfer to 26 Delavan)
  • Olcott Place / Andrews Avenue
  • Sprenger Avenue / Rogers Avenue
  • Bailey Avenue (Transfer to 19 Bailey)
  • Moselle Street
  • Fillmore Avenue (Transfer to 23 Fillmore, 22 Porter-Best)
  • Jefferson Avenue (Transfer to 18 Jefferson)
  • Michigan Avenue
  • Downtown Buffalo (bus may stop at any stop past Michigan Avenue)

24 – Genesee

Makes all stops

  • You can board or exit the bus at any bus stop
  • 20-30 minute service all day long
  • Look for regular bus stop signs that say 24

78 – Cheektowaga Express

  • 25-minute service
  • Services downtown Buffalo and Buffalo Niagara International Airport via Route 33 Kensington Expressway
  • Only runs for a short time period in the morning and evening rush hours
