How to Pay

Riders can pay by using:

  • PAL MetGo account: $3.50
  • Cash, exact fare: $4.00
  • Transit App / smartphone payment: $4.00
  • Companion/guest: $4.00
  • Children age 9 and younger: No charge, up to 3 children
  • Personal Care Attendant (PCA): No charge
  • Service animals and pets in approved carriers: No charge

If paying with cash, have the exact amount ready when boarding. Bus Operators do not carry change or sell fare tickets.

If the farebox cannot be reached, the Operator may place the fare into the farebox, but cannot take money from a wallet, bag, or pocket.

Where to Buy or Load Fare

MetGo cards can be purchased and reloaded at ticket vending machines (TVMs) located at Metro Rail stations, the Metropolitan Transportation Center, Buffalo Niagara International Airport, Niagara Falls International Airport, Niagara Falls Transportation Center, Portage Road Transportation Center, and participating Walgreens, Family Dollar, and 7-11 locations.
