Metro Rail operates between downtown Buffalo's DL&W Station and University Station at University at Buffalo - South Campus.

NFTA-Metro has undertaken a program of vital repairs and improvements on Metro Rail. From the construction of modern stations to track and equipment upgrades, these projects will ensure comfortable, safe, reliable service.

Starting Sunday, June 7, Metro Rail will be single tracking, above ground only, from Church to Canalside Stations.
DL&W Station will be open, and Trains should arrive every 20 minutes.
Note that rail arrival times will change with the start of service on Sunday June 7.
When boarding at Church, Seneca, and Canalside stations, use the outbound platform (toward University).
The inbound platforms are closed.
ACCESSIBILITY NOTE
Riders using mobility devices or requiring ADA-accessible service should note the following:
- If boarding at an underground station and traveling to Church, Seneca, or Canalside stations, please board the rear car of the train. This will ensure your train car opens to an elevated platform at the station.
- If boarding at Fountain Plaza or Lafayette stations and traveling to Church, Seneca, or Canalside stations, riders must either:
– Use an outbound train and then transfer to the last car of an inbound train at Allen Station, or
– Use the Route 8 Main bus.
