NFTA-Metro Rail will begin service to the DL&W station on Monday December 8 starting at 2pm. A Preview of the schedule can be found here. Visit Metro.nfta.com for more schedules and information.

New schedule times for select Metro bus routes will begin Sunday, December 7. Visit the NFTA-Metro Schedules page for route-specific details.

Beginning Monday, December 8, Route 24X Airport/Downtown Express will be renamed Route 78 - Cheektowaga Express. A preview of that route and schedule can be found here.

Beginning Monday, December 8, Route 14C buses will begin serving SUNY Erie Community College South Campus located at 50 Cobham Drive, Orchard Park. See Map for details.
Buses will no longer stop at 4041 Southwestern Blvd.

Effective June 4, Marine Drive between Main and Commercial will be closed due to construction until further notice.
Route 8 inbound buses are rerouted. See map for details.

At the beginning and end of major Key Bank Center events, such as Sabres games and concerts, reroutes might be in effect for Routes 8, 14, 15, 16, 24, and 42. Current reroutes can be found at the Metro Alerts page. Maps of reroutes for these events can be found here.

Starting December 7, 2025, NFTA-Metro is launching a Pilot that will provide extended PAL service hours.
PAL trips will be available in the core service area whenever a Metro bus or rail is in service. Express corridors will also operate during a standardized span of service hours.
