NFTA’s Parks Adventure Bus Rolls Back into Service

BUFFALO, N.Y. -Summer is calling—and the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) is answering with the return of the Parks Adventure Bus, offering free Saturday rides to some of Western New York’s most beautiful parks and scenic beaches.

Now in its fourth year, this beloved seasonal service is made possible through collaborative support from the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, the Erie County Parks Department, the Department of Environmental Conservation, and Congressman Tim Kennedy.

Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, a beach lover, or simply seeking a family-friendly way to enjoy the outdoors, the Parks Adventure Bus invites riders to explore the region’s natural beauty—at no cost. Eight destinations await adventurers each Saturday—from the serene woods of Reinstein Nature Preserve to the refreshing waves at Evangola State Park. Whether it’s hiking, swimming, or picnicking, there’s something for everyone.

Last year the bus connected connecting over 700 riders to the great outdoors. That growth is expected to continue as more residents and visitors discover this accessible, eco-friendly transportation option.
